This superb technique — known in the West as Damascus forging — gives each blade its hallmark strength and intricately graceful patterning. Every KASHO Damascus scissors is perfectly crafted, yet beautifully individual.

The blades are forged from eight layers of premium V10 cobalt alloy steel — ultimate sharpness, extremely powerful cutting. Hand-finished, the Damascus patterning on each scissors is unique: no two are the same. This is not a cosmetic feature. It is the visible evidence of a process that produces a blade of extraordinary quality.

Clean after every use. Wipe the blades clean after every client using a soft Kasho leather cloth. Hair residue and product build-up accelerate wear. A clean blade holds its edge longer.

Oil the pivot daily. Apply a drop of oil to the pivot point each day using the Kasho oil pen. It keeps the cutting action smooth and protects the steel against corrosion.

Check the tension. Check and adjust the screw tension before you begin. Correct tension reduces hand fatigue and extends the working life of the blade.

Store them properly. Store your scissors closed, in a case or holder, away from sterilisation liquids, perm, and colour solutions. These chemicals corrode even the finest steel.

Protect the blades. When cutting hair, avoid clipping on combs or slides — it may scratch or nick your blades.

Leave sharpening to the experts. Sharpening and servicing should be carried out only by a KASHO technician.
