INNOVATION IN HAND

The KASHO SlideCut reproduces an incomparable cutting movement: A simultaneous pulling and cutting is combined with the until now rigid closing principle of scissors. Guided by a special micro ball bearing system, the scissors move as if on rails during the cutting process. With this effective design, the upper blade moves forward during opening and retracts to its original position during closing, which gives the closing process a real cutting experience. The result is fatigue-free work and a particularly precise and sharp cut, even on dry hair.

With the new SlideCut scissors, KASHO is placing a special focus on its own tradition, which primarily is shaped by the swordsmanship of the Japanese Samurai. The technically innovative functionality of these scissors is inspired by the ultimate sharpness and cutting performance of samurai swords and thus creates the perfect combination of a flowing drawing and cutting movement. The unique design - completed by a micro ball bearing system- allows an extremely sharp and precise cut. Due to the elaborate manufacturing process in Japan, these scissors are limited to 100 pieces per year.

By this, the operating principle of the KASHO SlideCut differs from conventional scissors, where the hair is only cut by the blades sliding past each other during the closing process.

Only 100 are crafted annually and the Slide Cut comes in 6.5"

Slide Track Rail System

The joint with the micro ball bearing provides a large contact surface for the blades and allows the scissors to run even more precisely. This results in the advantage of smooth cutting performance without manual pressure: Even with incorrect pressure, which can occur with some cutting techniques, the pressure on the cutting edges is not affected.

The ergonomic SlideCut is manufactured in 6.5‘‘, as this size optimally supports the special cutting movement and thus makes the best use of the quality advantages while cutting. The used SG2 steel, a powder metallurgical sintered steel, has a constant material hardness of 61-62 HRC to the core. This steel has been used for many years in KASHO´s Millennium series models and has proven its incomparable cutting results. The material gives the SlideCut its maximum hardness and durability, which ideally rounds off the innovative technology of this precision masterpiece.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Wipe the blades after every use using a Kasho leather cloth, keep your scissors clean and hair free. Clean blades retain their edge and shine for longer. The scissors are designed for smooth, sharp cutting and do not require any unnecessary force or pressure. Lubricate the pivot daily with a Kasho oil pen. It helps to keep the cutting action smooth. Avoid contact with sterilisation liquid and perm or colour solution as these can corrode your scissors. Always store your scissors with the blades closed and in a case or holder to keep them safe from dirt and damage when storing or transporting. Check the scissor tension on a daily basis. It's easy to adjust and a smoother cut reduces wear and tear. When cutting hair, try to avoid clipping the scissors on combs or slides as it may scratch or nick your blades. Only our Kasho technicians should sharpen or repair your tools. Precision engineering requires precision servicing.
